Founder's Note
Five years of turning notebooks into kingdoms

When we started Ufalme Wetu, we saw the same story in notebooks across Kenya: hard-earned money, lost in confusion and mistrust. We set out to turn those notebooks into living ledgersâand ordinary chamas into peer banks. Five years later, your belief has turned a spark into a movement.
What we've built together so far
- Over KSh 88.9 million saved through disciplined, automated contributions.
- More than KSh 151.12 million in loans facilitated with fair, transparent terms through licensed partners.
- 230+ chamas crossed the KSh 1 million net-worth milestoneâ10+ are now above KSh 5 million.
- 22,000+ livelihoods strengthened: school fees paid on time, water tanks installed, plots secured, and small shops opened.
- Quiet wins that matter: fewer disputes, faster decisions, and treasurers who finally sleep at night.
